Fun, but not easy for youngsters,
The manufacturer stated this toy was appropriate for 3+ years of age, so I bought it for my 3 year old. It holds up to the cuteness and durability that we all know and love in the Melissa and Doug name. However, the surface area for catching is not very large. I have a difficult time catching the ball with it, you can imagine a 3 year old’s frustration! Definitely for a little older child!!

My 6 year old played catch with her dad for an hour on Christmas eve with this toy. Good hand-eye coordination biulder. The velcro is strong enough to competently hang on to the ball when they come in even partial contact. Nice quality toy.

|Great for Brother & Sister Fun!,
I bought this toy to ease play time between my 5 1/2 year old and her little brother (1 1/2 years old). They are very cute, and made very well. The ‘catch space’ is bigger than the palm of my 5 year old hand and I would consider it small for an adults hand. My 1 1/2 year old needs help putting it on his hand, but my 5 1/2 year old can do it just fine herself. They have a lot of fun and I see it lasting a while!
