I bought this back pack for my 4 year old grandson. I read the reviews on the other case for the regular Leapster and learned that other people were having a hard time finding a case for the L-Max since it would not fit.
I did not want something really big, but big enough for the L-Max and some games.
This is adequate in size but not too big and bulky. Everything fits. It works for us.

I bought this for my 4 YO son to store his Leapster and cartridges. It’s great for that job – big main compartment with inside pockets, plus a small outside pocket. The problem is the strap – it’s supposed to fit across the body like a messenger bag, but we can’t seem to get it to fit him right no matter how we tighten it. It’s always sliding around his neck and shoulder. For the price, I should have purchased a regular backpack. We always end up carrying the pack by the hanging loop instead of wearing it.

I agree with the other reviews on this product. It does carry more & keeps everything together in one “package”.
My son has the carrying case & he likes the backpack better.
