This item was great concept but poor design. Some of the opening mechanisms are too hard to open for a toddler. There are other products that are cheaper and better.

I was looking for a good toy for my son to use to help develop his fine motor skills and loved the concept of this toy. It has a lot of the same actions as the classic Playskool Busy Poppin’ Pals plus the bonus of the electronic features (animal names, colors, and counting). Unfortunately, three of the five mechanisms were just too dificult for my son to pull/slide. I was also disappointed that two of the five doors only had (poor quality) pictures of animals behind them rather than an actual animal head popping up. We returned this toy in favor of the Playskool Busy Poppin’ Pals–it was less than $10.00 and the mechanisms are much easier to work.

This is a wonderful toy for a toddler learning the names of animals, numbers up to five, and colors. Lots of buttons to push, levers and knobs to turn. Good for developing the fine motor coordination. Also, the toy ‘talks’; there are many cute voices on it as well. This is a multiple learning modality toy.
