Disappointed,
I recently purchased two Leapfrog School Quantum Pads (one for my daughter and one for my niece) and was VERY disappointed with what I received. Both Quantum Pads arrived in bubble wrap rather than the original packaging and DID NOT include a sampler book, cartridge OR operating instructions. I am not pleased with the purchase as I feel the product DID NOT accurately reflect its product description.

I agree that it stinks that it didn’t come with the sample book that it claimed in the description. However, I am still pleased overall. I ordered this because my son’s leappad stopped working a couple years ago (the pen/stylus usually stops working after a while) and since it was discontinued, I couldn’t order the replacement pen except for well over $10 on the auction sites. So I was very happy when I saw a new quantum on sale for less than the cost of a new pen (would not recommend it for the $30 plus that it is now though). And it is smaller than his original leappad which is great. All of my son’s Leappad books work though the Leappad Plus Writing ones do not unfortunately. I am upset that it didn’t include the instruction manual but am very happy that it came with the adapter so we don’t eat through batteries.

I ordered this product and also received it in bubble wrap, without the instruction manual or sample book. None of this was noted in the description. Thank goodness I ordered a book to go with it at the same time. I am annoyed though that Amazon fulfilled this order and did not note any of this in the product details. It’s a great toy, but certainly not as described. Please be warned, Leapfrog has discontinued this line of products and the books will no longer be available once the current stock has run out.
Update: Amazon’s Customer Service was very helpful when I complained. I received a generous refund of half my purchase price because of the problems noted in the description plus they have placed a warning to other customers and stopped selling their current inventory. I love it when a company is willing to go above and beyond to fix a problem.
