I played both sides of this LeapPad game with my 4 yr old (one side has Cinderella, the other has Ariel) – and we had fun. As with most leapPads, the storyline and the verbal cues are a little too delayed when prompting the child to do certain activities and she wanted to wing through the pages quickly because she didn’t wait to listen for what to do next. I like the LeapPads, though, because they are more “book-like” than video games and I feel like she’s interacting with the characters. I like the drawing feature on this one, where she can trace the shooting stars with the pen. It’s a Nice, Happy product overall.

These are so hard to find and they’re so much fun! The toddler had to learn a little patience, you have to wait for the voice prompts before you start but that was good, and now she’s caught on she can play with this with us or by herself. The games are so cute, and the pictures dazzle little girl’s eyes! I enjoyed it too, and it’s fun to watch the youngster succeed game after game, building her confidence while she’s pretending she’s a princess!

I just have a question for anyone who can help with the answers. We got a leappad at a rummage sale with one book (leaps big day) My 2 1/2 year old loved it so I ordered 5 more books on Amazon. We got the books but whenever we put a new book on the leappad it just plays leaps big day over and over, no matter what book is on the leappad. We touched all the Go spots with the pen but nothing. When there is no book on the leappad and you touch the pen to the book less pad it also plays leaps big day. Is there a default setting or something that we need to trip? We do not have any cartridges and there is no cartridge in the player at all. Do we need cartridges for the new books? Help?
