My son wanted to take money from his piggy bank to buy a Leapster game. He wanted the Scooby-Doo game as soon as he saw it but was very disappointed. There are only 2 games on it and you have to turn the Leapster off/on to switch between the games. If this game was cheaper than the others, then I could see it only having 2 games but it is about the same price. I wouldn’t recommend it.

My son received the Scooby Doo Leapster game from a friend for his 5th birthday. He has several games that he plays regularly. We recently moved out-of-state, so I had to take over the role of teacher since he would be missing the second half of his pre-school year. As I was teaching him about coins, he counted by 5s for me…and then by 10s. I asked him how in the world he knew how to do that already, & he replied, “My Scooby Doo game!” Wow. That shows me that he is actually learning when he is playing these games, which makes me a happy Mama! He has also been learning to read (by sounding out letters) with the Leapster Jedi Reading game!

Gave this to my daughter for her 6th birthday, she loves Scooby doo! She loves it and really enjoys playing it, I knew in advance there were only 2 games on it and I also read that you have to shut the game off and restart to play the other game…but I forgot to tell her. She screamed out loud when it happened and told me that made her angry. I offered to take it back and she said no way, she just didn’t like it. I”m not sure why they would make this game like that, but now that she knows, it isn’t as big of a deal. I suggest to get this game at a discount price since most of the other Leapster games have 4-5 games on each cartridge; having only 2 games should be a definate lower price. Its almost like they rushed thru to make this a quick sale; but at least she plays it and seems to be learning from it.
