Average side-scroller,
The game is pretty much what the description suggests and is certainly not innovative. Think Mario Brothers with some arithmetic questions blended in.
The quality of games for the Didj will have to improve for this system to have staying power.

|Not a Hand held game! It’s an educational tool,
I do not believe in hand held games or video games for children. My mother is the one who went against my wishes and purchased this for my daughter Christmas 2008, that’s right 2008. Knowing my feeling on this subject my mother came armed with newspaper articles, e-articles, and an educational magazine. Due to my stubbornness it was an entire year before I loaded the software on my computer. With that being said I am glad my mother purchased this for my daughter (age
as I never would. Didj is not a hand held game or video game, it is an awesome educational tool. I love it! The Didj includes a feature on its “Leapfrog Connect” in which I can upload her spelling words and choose her math facts and language arts skills by grade and then again by specific skills. In order to continue to the next level she must answer a series of educational questions, this motivates her because she earns micromods. Micromods are equivalent to money/tokens in which she downloads “extras” for each game. For example, she has downloaded a pet for Sonic and a new computer for Nancy Drew and a Karate move for Spongebob. I have purchased another six educational tools; Nancy Drew, Nicktoons, Neopets, Tinkerbell, Super Chicks, High School Musical and a free download from Leapfrog Jet Pack Heroes. I can’t seem to say enough about this valuable educational tool. My daughter is studying her math facts and spelling words without me telling her “It’s time to study”.

|Ok game,
We bought this game for my daughter along with the Didj system for xmas. She likes that you can play this game as anyone of the Nickelodeon characters but prefers the game that came with the Didj system over this one.
As far as the educational factor goes, you basically have to solve a math problem before going to each new level. I have not noticed much math during the actual game play.
Overall, it’s still a fun game and I would recommend it if your child is a Nick toons fan.
