Set the book in the LeapPad (sold separately), and tap Go with the magic pen to hear the story. Optional math games on each page allow children to help Leap solve simple math problems that involve number and shape recognition, counting from 1 to 10, sorting and classifying, and sequence and pattern formation. In the end, of course, the invitations are delivered and the recital is a success. The final pages are particularly fun: kids can tap the six individual instruments to hear them play alone, or tap the conductor to hear how all six parts come together to make a song.
