Amazing gun

| So, I'm 16, but, while I may look older, I have not grown up on the inside. I ride a Razor scooter to school, read comic books, and, of course, play with Nerf guns. My friend and I recently bought some guns, and started up a light Nerf war campaign with some people, and I have to say, the Nite-Finder EX-3 has been my best weapon, especially when dual wielded. The NF is the most basic out of the N-Strike series, and the most versatile. People complain about how it must be manually loaded for shots, but I think this is a major positive. It doesn't require the clip reloading that the Recon or the Longshot need, nor does it require the filling up of the belt for the Vulcan. The gun, straight out of the box, is pretty powerful, but the real power lies once the air-restrictors are removed, and the spring is stretched. Mind you, once this is done the gun does become more of a weapon than a toy, so I don't recommend modifications if you are young, or buying this for a young child. It is a basic, simple, one-shot blaster that will fare you well in Nerf warfare, or to just bother your siblings. |
Two boys' review: Welcome to Nerf! Bang! Pow!

A family friend gave this to our two sons (ages 6 and 4) for Christmas. I mention it because (1) this was our sons' first experience with dart guns and (2) this was the toy they played with the most for the rest of the day.
I waited a couple months to write the review because I wanted to see how the Nerf Nite Finder EX-3 would hold their interest. I can now confirm this is still one of their most popular toys of Christmas 2008.
"Precision blasting" is an oxymoron, so don't take the product claims too seriously when it states that you can "line up the light beam on the target from 15 feet away!" The gun's light beam sight isn't accurate but it sure is fun to use. My sons think the light beam sight is the toy's coolest feature.
The dart gun is surprisingly durable. The only problem we've had is with the Nerf Glow Darts Refill Pack. I'd recommend you skip these because they don't fire as well as the regular darts and they are too expensive. If you want to glow at night, consider using glow in the dark paint on the dart tips instead.
I've read online how to modify these dart guns to shoot farther. I might consider it later but for now the gun shoots well enough to knock down the targets (included) and the action figures we line up on the other side of the kids' room. Rating for young kids: 5 stars. |
Excellent toy

| My son received these for Christmas. He can not stop playing with them. We have been having household dart wars. Inexpensive and hours of entertainment. Replacement darts are also readily available for those that get lost. |
Great

This blaster is very durable fun and cool for children ages 6 +. It is light weight the bullets fire fast.... like 30 mph.
It is like so fun for anyone to play with.

| Great nerf gun for the money, shoots far and can be easily modified to shoot even further. |
