An excellent value for family game nights

My seven-year old son put Monopoly on his Christmas wish list. Monopoly Family Championship provides the comfortable feel of the original game in addition to a rulebook, speed die and game pieces that allow you to play a faster version.

Other family board games have left a bad taste in our mouth. More often than not, the board game materials are cheap and flimsy. I previously wrote Amazon reviews for Othello and Operation, noting the cheap construction took away from the fun.

Even though we purchased Monopoly Family Championship for less than $10, the game board, tokens and other game pieces are of adequate quality. You won't mistake this game for the $100,000 custom version produced by FAO Schwarz in 2000, which came with 18-carat gold token, houses and hotels. collector's versions. However, Monopoly Family Championship it is solid enough to hold up for many repeated family game nights.

If you are tired of the original, you can try these contemporary variations: Monopoly Here and Now World or Monopoly City Edition.

In summary, we purchased this version because it offered an excellent value for family game nights. Rating: Five stars.

Ok so I got this classic game that is always fun for only $[...]. Well worth it to me, No tax, free shipping. It even comes with a small trophy for the winner to boast around with all night flaunting their bragging rights for owning everyone in this fun game. I'll always be a kid

New twist to a classic. Love the new dice that enables us to play the game faster. My kids loved them too.

There was a great sale for this game and we didn't have it yet. Shipping from the vendor was fast considering it was 2 weeks before Christmas. I bought it initially for me & my husband to play, but our almost 5 year old son wanted to play too. Never underestimate the abilities of your children! The first few games he kicked our behinds and he was awarded the cute trophy. We now have on going games and every day he asks if we can play. This is the Championship version but still the same game. There's a speed game version we haven't tried yet, but the pad provided for it is used for us to keep track of what we have at the end of each game's session to continue the next session. The educational value is that it's helped our son extend his early mathematics, he's learning how to make change, how to plan ahead with saving money, buying properties or buildings. The best part is that it's teaching him how to lose and not be upset about it.
It's Monopoly, what else do I need to say? :)
